Chapter 4

Mixed

– · 4 deploys · edition 2026.10.09-c40359e

Three new buildings rise on the Guild Row: Beacon Hill for Fry Networks' device reports, the Weather Masts for PiPhi's licence rewards and the Chess Ladder for the World Chess rating ledger. Ask Urtho now knows the Guild Row, the Piazza dei Notai and the Observatory, and shows code neatly, while banners, flights and pennants behave better.

New

Beacon Hill, the Weather Masts and the Chess Ladder

Everyone

The Guild Row gains three buildings for steady streams of on-chain records: Beacon Hill's braziers light for Fry Networks' reporting devices, a paymaster walks PiPhi's licence posts on the payout hour, and a light climbs the Chess Ladder with the World Chess rating ledger's games. Each has its own banner, list row and Codex entry, and the herald notes when a stream pauses or resumes.

Beacon Hill on the Guild Row: a ring of lit braziers around a thatched collector's hut.
The Chess Ladder: a chequered tower with ladders up its side and a scribe on top.
The Weather Masts: tall masts with spinning cups beside a lodge and a row of licence posts.

Fixes

Banners clear of the timeline on phones

Everyone

Fixed: on narrow screens, castle and landmark banners ran under the timeline and its markers. They now end above it.

A clear view when flying to a castle

Everyone

Fixed: flying to a castle could end with a mountain in the way. The camera now picks a view where the ground does not hide it.

Pennants step aside for the storm

Everyone

Fixed: during the daily storm, a castle's pennant could stand over the storm cloud. Pennants in front of it now fade out, except the one you have selected or point at.

Scenic views close the open banner

Everyone

Fixed: picking a Scenic view left a castle's or Guild Row building's banner open over the new sight, as if it belonged there. The banner now closes as the camera flies off.

More notary records counted

Everyone

Fixed: the Piazza dei Notai missed records signed by accounts that hold no ALGO. They are now counted with the rest.

Changes

Urtho knows more of the realm

Everyone

Ask Urtho now answers about the Guild Row, the Piazza dei Notai and the Royal Signal Observatory from the day's own numbers. His replies show code blocks, headings and italics properly, and answers drawn from the developer docs now list their sources.

Smoother with a banner open

Everyone

An open banner no longer slows the realm while the day plays: its shadow is drawn a lighter way and looks the same.

Under the hood

Everyone

The site now keeps a simple count of visits.
