Update 8
FeatureFour new Broadcasts reach the Broadcast Deck: Q-Day Protocol, Only Dust, Sealed Courier and Rekey Drill. The deck now plays them in the site's own player and lists only colony films. The first load ticks off its steps as the colony is assembled, the top bar keeps the colony's name in view, and a privacy policy page is linked from Settings and the Colony AI.
New
The first load shows its steps
While the colony first loads, its card ticks off each step as it finishes: the colony map, the station registries, assembling the colony, the day log and the consensus feed. You can see how far along it is, without a made-up percentage.
A privacy policy
A privacy policy page now says what the site collects and what your rights are. It opens in a new tab from the Settings footer, beside the version, and from the note under the Colony AI.
New broadcasts
Four new Broadcasts from the Colony Archive
On the Broadcast Deck: Q-Day Protocol, the Colony Intelligence's quantum threat simulation; Only Dust, a scavenger whose quantum machine meets Falcon keys; Sealed Courier, on how state proofs let a neighbour check the colony's log; and Rekey Drill, Cadet Wren moving an account to a Falcon key.
Fixes
The colony's name fits the top bar
Fixed: on most desktop screens the title in the top bar was cut short. The buttons now fold their labels step by step until the name of the colony fits, and they fold again whenever the window is resized.
Truer words on the lattice force field
The lattice force field's notes in the Colony Field Guide and in the consensus panel now say that most accounts still sign with Ed25519. Accounts can carry a Falcon key too, so most keys, not all of them, are not quantum-safe.
Changes
Broadcasts in the site's own player
The Broadcast Deck now plays its Broadcasts in the site's own player. It lists only colony films, and so does a station's films section. Every Broadcast has its captions in the picture.
A plainer switch between worlds
Switching to the other world no longer plays a transition overlay. The new world's own loading card shows while it is built.
LiquiHog and Haystack, better known
The colony now knows LiquiHog's swap router, pools and registries, so LiquiHog's station shows on days it was missing from. Haystack's updater is now named the Hay Markets Oracle and is shown as a Sensor Array.
