Chapter 8
FeatureA new tale, The Rekey Spell, joins the Minstrels' Gallery. The gallery now plays tales in the site's own player and lists only the realm's films. The first load ticks off its steps as the realm is raised, the top bar keeps the realm's name in view, and a privacy policy page is linked from Settings and from Urtho's tower.
New
The first load shows its steps
While the realm first loads, its card ticks off each step as it finishes: the map of the realm, the guild rolls, raising the realm, the day's chronicle and the stone records. You can see how far along it is, without a made-up percentage.
A privacy policy
A privacy policy page now says what the site collects and what your rights are. It opens in a new tab from the Settings footer, beside the version, and from the note under Ask Urtho.
New tales
New tale: The Rekey Spell
Lays of the Realm: The Rekey Spell. Urtho teaches his apprentice Wren the rekey: a purse moves to a Falcon seal and keeps its address, coins and history. In the Minstrels' Gallery.
Fixes
The realm's name fits the top bar
Fixed: on most desktop screens the title in the top bar was cut short. The buttons now fold their labels step by step until the name of the realm fits, and they fold again whenever the window is resized.
Truer words on the lattice shield
The lattice shield's notes in the Royal Codex and in the consensus panel now say that most accounts still sign with Ed25519. Accounts can carry a Falcon key too, so most keys, not all of them, are not quantum-safe.
Changes
Tales in the site's own player
The Minstrels' Gallery now plays its tales in the site's own player. It lists only the realm's films, and so does a castle's films section. Every tale has its captions in the picture.
A plainer switch between worlds
Switching to the other world no longer plays a curtain. The new world's own loading card shows while it is built.
LiquiHog and Haystack, better known
The realm now knows LiquiHog's swap router, pools and registries, so LiquiHog's castle stands on days it was missing from. Haystack's updater is now named the Hay Markets Oracle and is drawn as a watchtower.
