Update 11

Feature

– · 5 deploys · build 2026.10.23-ceb1bfa

A big chapter for the colony: a training hologram with twenty short modules, a Captain's log that fills as you explore, mission briefings that ask a question about each day, and a guided briefing of the day. Rare sights now appear for your Xenolog, and there are small things for the curious to stumble on.

New

The training hologram

Testers

A projector now runs twenty short crew training modules, demonstrated by OP-3, ASSIST-9 and MOPS. Open it from Scenic views, pick a module and pull up a stool. The rest of the colony quiets down while a module runs.

The Captain's log

Testers

A Captain's log that fills as you explore: places, how the colony works and the events you inspect, each with a short explanation and a Return to scene button that takes you back. Open it with J or its chip. It is kept in this browser.

Mission briefings

Testers

Daily investigations: a small question about the day, answered from what you can see. The day's own logs settle it.

Brief me on this day

Testers

A guided briefing of the day in four or five waypoints, about a minute and a half: the busiest station, the colony reserve, the consensus core and more, each with a short card. Hold at any waypoint to look around, step back and forth, or leave with Esc. Start it from Scenic views.

Since your last shift

Testers

Check in after a new day is logged and a card beside the bulletin tells you what changed since your last visit: stations that powered up or went dark, the reserve, new apps, busier berths. Show me flies you to each change.

Forecast drill

Testers

A plainly labelled historical exercise by the replay timeline: log a forecast for an hour of a past day, then replay it against the mission log. The log is the answer; the drill is practice in reading it.

Rare sightings and the Xenolog

Testers

Rare sights now appear over the colony. Spot them to fill your Xenolog: a quiet cue tells you about an unidentified contact, and a click takes you there. Open the Xenolog from its chip in the top bar. The colony also takes on a few seasonal touches.

Small wonders

Testers

More small things to stumble on, for the curious. They are decoration only and never stand for chain data, and none of them makes the sounds the colony uses for its real events. A small secret has been tucked away somewhere on the colony.

Changes

A lighter colony in VR

Testers

On a Quest 3 the colony now draws with much less work a frame and lighter shadows: on a busy day it runs at 76 to 85 frames a second, up from 68 to 75.
