The Kingdom of Algo
Every day of the Algorand chain is a floating island: each castle is a project, built in the style of what it does and sized by its calls, while messengers, gold carts and tax collectors travel the roads. Play the day around the clock, read the herald's Kingdom News and the Royal Ledger, and click any castle for its banner.
Any day, and its ruins
Pick any day from the date picker or the chronicle strip and the realm is drawn as it stood in that era, each castle keeping its home on the map. Castles whose contracts were struck from the ledger stand as ruins, and quiet ones gather ivy.
Consensus of the Realm
The capital shows how the chain agrees: a chronicle wall with a carved stone per day, a lottery well for each hour's jury, the standards of the busiest block proposers and a lattice shield for the Falcon state proofs that seal history. Most accounts still sign with Ed25519. Click any of them, or press K, for the day's numbers.
Today, and Watch live
The day that is not yet over is in the chronicle too, refreshed as it goes. Press Watch live on its ribbon to follow the chain block by block: the day's stone glints and a soft chime sounds with each new block. Back to replay returns you to the day so far.
Ask Urtho
Urtho, wizard and advisor to the King, reads the ledger of the day shown and answers your questions about it, with links that ride to the castles he names. Open him with the Ask Urtho button, the T key or a click on his tower in the capital. He is an AI and may err.
The Courier Post
A new landmark shows the day's x402 machine payments on chain: couriers and pedlars carry them to the merchants' stalls. Click the Courier Post or its line in the Royal Ledger to see payments, USDC paid and the busiest merchants.
The Royal Codex
Press ? or the Codex button for a guide to every building, traveller and sign in the realm and what it stands for on the chain, with today's counts and a Show on map button that points each one out.
Treasury and royal wages apart
The Royal Ledger tells the Algorand Foundation's own spending apart from the block rewards the protocol pays to proposers, shown as royal wages next to the taxes collected. Wage-bearers walk from the capital to the proposers' standards as the rewards are paid.
Sounds of the realm
Turn on sound with the speaker button or M: wind, birdsong and crickets, the river, the murmur of the town and the clatter of carts that follows the day's traffic, with bells, fanfares and coins for what happens. Recorded sounds and optional music; credits are in the Royal Codex.
Getting around
A ranked list of the day's castles (L), C to visit them one by one, arrow keys to step from day to day and a scribe's loading card while a new day is fetched. The top bar folds into a menu on phones, and the herald's scroll has its own close.
