Chapter 2
FeatureThe Royal Signal Observatory now stands in the wooded foothills, its brass globe showing how quickly test deeds from around the world are sealed. The realm also gains Scenic views with framed parchment pictures, the marks of neighbouring chains over the distant isles, and a Settings screen with a sound mixer and an always-daylight mode.
New
The Royal Signal Observatory
A stone tower with a brass globe now stands in a clearing in the foothills below the mountains. Each lantern pin is a probe somewhere in the world that sends test deeds to the chain, coloured by how often they are sealed in the very next block. Click the tower for each hour's figures, a node-by-hour chart and the deeds themselves.

Scenic views and framed pictures
A new Scenic views menu flies the camera to the Market street, the Capital, the Island edge, the Plausible Guild, the Signal Observatory or the cat on the wall. Save a picture of the scene in a parchment frame with the day's seal.
Neighbouring realms
Each distant isle now carries the mark of another layer-1 chain, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana or Cardano. Now and then a carrier pigeon flies from one of them to the Citadel for a post-quantum seal. They are decoration only, with no chain data behind them, and you can hide them in Settings.
Settings, a sound mixer and daylight
A new Settings screen, in the top bar and the phone menu, keeps your choices on this device. Set the overall volume and the levels of ambience, effects, interface sounds and music separately. You can also keep the realm in daylight while the day plays on as usual. Ambience starts at half volume for new visitors and after Reset to defaults.
A livelier realm
A chosen castle unfurls a banner at its gate, gate lanterns brighten as you fly near, birds settle on roofs, and fast couriers kick up dust. Smoke, water and lights keep moving while the day is paused. Hover a castle to see how busy the realm is this hour. The birds and the occasional visitor on the horizon are decoration and never stand for transactions.
Editions and gentle updates
The loading card and Settings now show which edition of the chronicle you are reading. When a new edition arrives, a notice counts down before the page turns, or you can turn it at once. You keep your place, the hour and any half-written question to Urtho.
Changes
The Plausible Guild on the map
The Plausible Guild's plaza now has a marker on the minimap; click it to fly there. Its banner now has a chart of ninety days of couriers with the chosen day marked, and pedlar swarms now show up as crowds of pedlars.
Urtho answers as he writes
Ask Urtho's answers now appear as he writes them, rather than all at the end. Chain terms are now explained in parentheses, and the realm's name in the top bar is no longer cut off on wide screens while the chat is open.
Cleaner sounds
The realm's recorded ambience and effects have been rebuilt from the original recordings instead of compressed copies, and several now start cleanly instead of with a short garble.
